Solana's speed vs Ethereum's maturity.
As a developer – which do you prefer building on?
What are the pros and cons in your daily work?
Have you switched chains recently?
Let's keep it technical and respectful 🔧
As someone who's spent time on both chains, I'll say this — Solana is blazing fast and great for pushing updates quickly, but the tooling still feels fragile at times. Ethereum, on the other hand, may be slower, but the dev ecosystem is rock solid.
For critical apps? I go ETH.
For experiments and performance-heavy stuff? Solana all day.
Also, lately I've been exploring L2s more (shoutout to Base & zkSync), and they feel like the sweet spot between both worlds.
Anyone else building cross-chain these days?
As a dev who migrated from ETH to Solana last year, I feel this deeply. Solana's speed is addictive - our dApp's transactions cost pennies and confirm in seconds. But yeah, the RPC node drama is real. Had my infra go down twice because of network upgrades. Ethereum is like that old reliable Toyota - not flashy, but you know it'll start every morning. Right now I'm actually considering moving our admin panel back to ETH while keeping the user-facing stuff on Solana. Best of both worlds maybe?
