The ledger processed around 3,200 transactions, but reporting showed that roughly 2,000 of those transactions came from only 20 wallets. A significant number also failed while still being counted in the activity data.

This is not specifically an XRP problem.

Almost every blockchain ecosystem eventually starts promoting metrics such as:

transaction count;

active wallets;

protocol interactions.

But none of those metrics automatically equal real adoption.

A network can generate enormous transaction volume through:

bots;

arbitrage;

automated market makers;

a very small number of highly active wallets.

For me, a better framework would combine:

unique active users + transferred economic value + fees generated + retained users + application revenue.

Even then, comparisons between chains remain difficult because their architectures are different.

Which on-chain metric do you trust most when judging whether an altcoin ecosystem is actually growing?

Bitcoin rallies first, BTC dominance eventually falls, capital rotates into ETH, then large-cap alts, and finally smaller speculative tokens.

I am not sure that model works the same way anymore.

Institutional capital is increasingly entering crypto through regulated products, and that money is not spreading evenly across the market.

Recent ETF demand has been concentrated mainly in:

Ethereum;

Solana;

XRP;

a relatively small number of large-cap assets.

Smaller altcoins are not necessarily receiving the same benefit.

Recent market coverage has already raised the possibility that Wall Street's altcoin rotation may produce strong performance in a few institutional assets without creating the broad-based altseason people remember from previous cycles.

That would fundamentally change how altcoins should be analysed.

Instead of:

BTC → ETH → large caps → everything else

we could get:

BTC → selected institutional alts → very selective sector rotations

while much of the long-tail market continues underperforming.

This would also make ETF eligibility, regulatory clarity, liquidity and institutional custody much more important factors for altcoin valuation.

Do you think the classic “altseason” still exists?

Or are we moving toward a market where only a handful of institutionally accessible altcoins receive meaningful capital rotation?

One of the biggest changes in the altcoin market this year has been the growth of institutional exposure outside Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Solana is probably the clearest example.

According to Solana Foundation's August ecosystem report, U.S.-listed Solana ETFs finished August with approximately $1.34 billion in cumulative net inflows, while Bitwise's Solana Staking ETF became the first U.S.-listed SOL ETF to cross $1 billion in assets.

That is significant because SOL is no longer trading purely on retail speculation and ecosystem narratives.

Institutional investors now have regulated exposure to:

SOL price;

staking economics;

Solana ecosystem growth;

tokenized assets built on the network.

At the same time, the network continues pushing performance improvements. August also saw shorter slot times and record transaction activity.

The question is whether this institutional demand is structural or temporary.

If SOL ETFs keep attracting capital, the traditional idea that institutions only want BTC and maybe ETH becomes increasingly difficult to defend.

Do you now consider Solana an institutional-grade crypto asset?

And if not, what still needs to change: decentralization, validator economics, network reliability, regulation, or something else?

Ethereum has had a strong recovery recently, gaining roughly 37% during a 10-day move before entering consolidation around the mid-$2,000 range.

From a technical perspective, the current structure is interesting because ETH has managed to hold most of the rally despite relatively difficult macro conditions.

Reuters recently highlighted a potential bullish flag structure, with the $3,000–$3,050 area becoming an obvious level to watch if momentum continues. A move below roughly $2,350 would weaken that setup significantly.

But I think the more interesting question is not technical.

Ethereum now has several competing narratives:

institutional ETF demand;

increasing institutional staking;

continued Layer 2 expansion;

lower transaction costs;

competition from Solana and other high-throughput chains;

debate over whether ecosystem growth actually translates into stronger ETH demand.

That last point is probably the most important.

Ethereum can remain the dominant smart-contract ecosystem while ETH itself still underperforms if too much economic activity migrates away from the base layer.

What is your main ETH thesis right now?

Are you buying Ethereum because of the network itself, staking yield, ETF demand, or simply because you expect ETH to catch up with the broader market?
