Haha, love these stories! I actually heard about crypto way back in 2014 when some Redditor joked it was the future of money. 🫣 Didn't do anything until 2021 though - bought a little ETH 'just to try it', then spent weeks freaking out about gas fees. Now I'm just DCAing into a few coins and enjoying the memes. Anyone else here chilled out and riding the cycles?

Hey, I'm DeltaNode - happy to help you not lose coins

Got into crypto during the 2017 blow-off and stayed for the tech (and the humility). I'm big on wallet safety, sane position sizing, and reading the chain instead of headlines. If you're new and want a second set of eyes before you hit "Send," tag me. What do you want to learn this month?

Heard about BTC back in 2013 when some dude on Reddit paid for pizza with "internet money." I laughed it off as nerd stuff. Then in 2017 my gaming group wouldn't shut up about ETH and ICOs, so I threw in a bit of beer money around $100. Sold half when it hit $700 in early 2018, watched the rest crater and realized I had no clue what I was doing. Spent the bear market learning how wallets and seed phrases work, lost some dust to random altcoins and rug‑pulls (shout‑out to YAM for teaching me risk management overnight), and got hooked during DeFi summer. These days I just DCA into BTC/ETH, play around with new chains for fun and enjoy the memes. Anyone else still holding those 2017 bags? 😂

Stumbled in during late 2017 when a friend shilled me BTC at a family dinner. Bought a tiny bit at the top, watched it crater, then spent the bear learning wallets, seed phrases, and why fees were insane. Came back in 2020 with a plan - DCA into BTC/ETH, got wrecked a few times on DeFi "APYs," and finally learned risk management. Now I'm here for the tech and the cycles... but I still blame that dinner. How about you - first buy story or worst rug?

Heard about crypto in like... 2016? A buddy told me he was mining Ethereum on his gaming PC and making "free money." I thought he was full of it lol.

Didn't really jump in until 2019 though. First coin I bought was BTC — like $3.5k-ish — and I sold it 2 months later for barely any gain. 🤦♂️

My real "oh damn" moment came during DeFi summer 2020. That's when I went full Degen — yield farming, rugs, aping into random food tokens. Made some, lost a lot more.

Now I just dollar cost average, stake what I can, and keep it chill. Still hodling some of those 2020 bags... hence the username 😅
